Owaisi: If God wills, more responsibility to KTR
HYDERABAD: AIMIM president and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi on Monday called on people to support the BRS and ensure another term for the ruling party, declaring that though there were some gaps, overall there was more good done than ever before in the last nine years.
Speaking at the foundation laying ceremony of IT towers in Malakpet, Owaisi, turning towards BRS working president and IT minister K.T. Rama Rao, said: “If God so wills, he will give more responsibility to KTR.” Owaisi urged Rao to use his contacts in the IT industry and ensure that they join in the new facility.
Owaisi said that while some may wonder why he is talking politics at an official event, he clarified that he was doing so “because I am not a scientist or a philosopher. I am a politician and will be a politician and you (the audience) did not come here to listen to a scientist.”
Owaisi cautioned people to “watch out for hate-mongers and blackmailers” and reject them and support a government that has worked for the people.
With developments like IT towers, people will understand that those in the Old City too have hearts. They may have emotions, but they are also normal who take pride in the development of the city and the state, and support every good thing, he said. “See our record and that of BRS. If we don’t do politics, somebody else will do so in Hyderabad. I am a politician and will stand for development,” Owaisi said.
He urged Rao to use the land available at the new site to build facilities for KG to PG education and use a part of the land to house GHMC and registration offices and help people from Malakpet constituency to get several things done in one place.
