BRS, Congress two sides of same coin, says BJP

Karimnagar: The friendship between the ruling BRS and the Opposition Congress has become evident, with IT minister K.T. Rama Rao admitting during a meeting in Peddapalli on Sunday that the Congress candidates can be easily purchased if they win in the elections, alleged BJP state executive member G. Suresh Reddy speaking to media persons in Manthani of Peddapalli district on Monday.

The BJP leader said, “How readily sheep and buffaloes may be purchased on the market, as BRS leaders are experts in purchasing Congress leaders. The BRS and Congress leaders are touring constituencies in preparation for the next Assembly elections and to deceive the public once more.”

He questioned why Rama Rao did not speak about the sand and gravel mafia managed jointly by BRS MLA Dasari Manohar Reddy and Congress leader Vijaya Ramana Rao, and the commissions they collect for various developmental initiatives.

Suresh Reddy said that even though the BJP government has sanctioned more than lakhs of crores of rupees to the state government for developmental works, BRS officials are propagating false propaganda against the BJP, claiming that it is discriminating against Telangana by not sanctioning funds.

Suresh Reddy thanked Narendra Modi for allocating Rs 900 crore for the development of the Tribal University in the Mulugu district, as well as for announcing the establishment of the National Turmeric Board in the state.
