BRS Keeps Up Relentless Attacks on Congress, Targets Revanth Reddy
HYDERABAD:
The BRS continued its relentless attack on the Congress and called on the people to reject the party. Party working president and minister K.T. Rama Rao said, “The Congress is in the hands of a thief who was caught in the cash-for-note case.”
Continuing his attack on TPCC president A. Revanth Reddy, Rama Rao, addressing a public meeting in Nalgonda, said, “The same person is selling seats and tickets at different prices to his party leaders. He is selling seats today, tomorrow he will sell Telangana state if he comes to power.”
In Ramayampet in Medak district, Harish Rao in a veiled reference at former BRS leader Mynampally Hanumanth Rao, said, “There are some folks who have laid their eyes on Medak. They think their moneybags and their big cars will do the trick. But they are like gangireddulu (dressed-up oxen) that go around during Sankranti festival and are never seen again. Stand by our MLA Padma Devender Reddy and vote for her in the elections.” Hanumanth Rao, who was in the BRS and quit to join the Congress, has been seeking the Medak ticket from Congress for his son.
In Nalgonda, Rama Rao said “KCR is giving pensions to senior citizens, widows, and the physically challenged, helping them live with self-esteem.” No Congress government in any state provides pension like Telangana government does, he said.
Rama Rao also took aim at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s comments that Telangana was being ruled by a family party. He said “Modi called BRS is a family party. BRS is a family of four crore people in Telangana and CM KCR is the head of the family.”
