PM Modi in Gwalior Today
Bhopal: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh to dedicate to the nation the Delhi-Vadodara Expressway, built at a cost of Rs 11,895 crore.
He is also scheduled to lay the foundation stone for five different road projects worth Rs 1880 crore on the occasion.
Mr Modi is scheduled to arrive in Gwalior at three pm on Monday to dedicate to the nation various projects, besides laying foundation stone for different other projects in Mela Ground in the historical city, BJP spokesman Ashish Agrawal said on Sunday.
Mr Modi is scheduled to initiate the ceremonial ‘Griha Pravesh’ (house warming) of over 2.2 lakh houses built under Prime Minister Awas Yojana (PMAY)( rural) on the occasion.
He is also scheduled to dedicate houses constructed under PMAY-Urban at a cost of Rs 140 crore.
Mr Modi would also lay the foundation stone for nine of ‘Jal Jeevan Mission’ projects worth Rs 1530 crore to ensure provision of safe drinking water in Gwalior and Shivpuri districts.
These projects will together benefit over 720 villages in the region.
The PM is scheduled to lay the foundation stone of nine health centres under Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission, to be developed at a cost of over Rs 150 crore.
He is also scheduled to dedicate various facilities developed in Indore, Ujjain and Gwalior.
This would be Mr Modi’s first visit to Gwalior in the last one year.
