Mr Kumar directed TS DGP M. Mahendar Reddy to make ready helipads in all 31 districts to operate air ambulances.
Hyderabad: While TRS leaders alleged that AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu was distributing money to voters through AP Intelligence officials, the DGPs of both Telugu states submitted reports to TS Chief Electoral Officer Rajat Kumar in the negative.
Speaking to mediapersons Mr Kumar said he had received reports from the DGPs of AP and TS on reports of AP Intelligence officials touring in Telangana state. He said the DGPs had said they were touring for intelligence gathering purposes. TRS leaders had accused the AP intelligence police of snooping and attempting to influence the elections. Mr Kumar said, “in a democracy, a close watch is necessary.”
He said caretaker Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s recent Delhi visit had no connection with the state government. He said that an inquiry was going on about the resported distribution of Bathukamma saris in Khammam district.
Mr Kumar directed TS DGP M. Mahendar Reddy to make ready helipads in all 31 districts to operate air ambulances. These could be used to rush any polling staff that falls sick to hospitals.
