Revanth: Half of Medigadda project has to be rebuilt to rectify flaws in Kaleshwaram
Dubbing K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) as \'Kaleshwaram Corruption Rao\', Revanth said that pillars 1 to 25 of the Medigadda project have sunk
Hyderabad: TPCC chief A. Revanth Reddy said on Thursday that half of the Medigadda project has to be demolished and rebuilt to rectify the quality flaws in the Kaleshwaram project.
Speaking to media persons in Hyderabad on Thursday after visiting the Medigadda barrage along with former AICC president Rahul Gandhi to examine quality lapses in Kaleshwaram project, Revanth said that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao had put the Kaleshwaram project in risk by indulging in huge corruption of Rs 1 lakh crore and now the project has put the Chief Minister in risk with sinking of pillars and leakages in barrages.
"People of Telangana want to punish Chandrashekar Rao for indulging in high level corruption in the Kaleshwaram project. The Chief Minister's sins have come to fruition, and his pot of corruption has burst with the sinking of Medigadda pillars. Crores of public money has been misused with shoddy works," Revanth said.
Dubbing K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) as 'Kaleshwaram Corruption Rao', Revanth said that the pillars of the Medigadda project have sunk due to the lack of proper precautions. He said that the pillars numbered 1 to 25 have sunk.
The officials told us that the pillars have sagged by two and a half feet. He said that a situation has arisen where half of the Medigadda project has to be demolished to rectify these flaws. The condition of the other half of the project will be known only after the technical experts examine it.
He demanded that L&T, which constructed the project, should be blacklisted. Criminal cases should be filed against the concerned engineers and officials concerned, he said.
Revanth said that no matter how corrupt BRS is, the BJP government at the Centre was protecting it. "Kaleshwaram project and the barrages within its scope are getting damaged one after the other because of the corruption of BRS and BJP," Revanth alleged.
Revanth said that it was clear to the BRS that minister Sabita Indra Reddy would lose in Maheshwaram. That is why I-T attacks are being carried out by Chandrashekar Rao on the Congress leaders with the help of the Centre, he alleged.
He made it clear that the Congress will defeat the BRS in Telangana under any circumstances.
He said that even if Prime Minister Narendra Modi performs a penance to make the BRS win, it will not happen. Revanth Reddy said that no matter how many conspiracies are made, the Telangana society will revolt and overthrow BRS in Assembly polls.
