Congress MLA Anirudh Reddy Janampalli declines police escort

Hyderabad: The Jadcherla Congress party MLA Anirudh Reddy Janampalli wrote to the Mahabubnagar Superintendent of Police (SP) not to provide any police escort vehicle for him during visit to the constituency.

In his letter, the MLA said that he noticed that the police escort was provided for him during his recent visit to Jedcharla constituency including police officers. The government has provided him two plus two personnel security officers and need not require any police escort for him.

There is a staff scarcity in the police department and utilise the police forces for solving the people's issues. If there is any requirement in future, the MLA said they would inform the police officers. The MLA requested the SP not to provide any police escort during his visit to his constituency.
