Revanth meets Adani Group delegation, assures help for new projects in TS
Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Wednesday met a delegation of the Adani Group at the Secretariat to discuss expansion and investment plans of the company in Telangana. IT and industries minister D. Sridhar Babu also took part in the meeting.
The delegation, led by the group chief Karan Adani, the elder son of Gautam Adani, and CEO of Adani Ports & SEZs, and Asish Rajvansh, the CEO of Adani Aero Space, held deliberations with the CM.
Among the discussions was a plan by the group to set up a data centre, along with an aerospace park, in Telangana.
Representatives of the Adani Group said that the company will continue its existing projects and sought necessary support from the government to establish new projects. They said that the company was ready to set up industries and create new jobs.
While the Adani Group expressed an interest in investing more in Telangana state, the Chief Minister assured the delegation that the state government would provide the required amenities, infrastructure and subsidies to new industries to promote industrial growth and create more employment opportunities.
On the day, the Chief Minister also met with a delegation of Amara Raja Energy & Mobility (ARE&M), an energy storage and mobility enterprise that manufactures batteries for industrial and automotive applications.
The ARE&M delegation discussed the setting up of a giga corridor, one of the country’s largest lithium-ion battery production centres, at the New Energy Park in Mahbubnagar and an R&D hub, E-Positive Energy Labs, in Shamshabad at a capital cost of '9,500 crore, which is expected to generate 4,500 jobs.
Revanth Reddy said that Amara Raja was a key partner in Telangana’s growth story and assured the necessary support towards the operationalisation of the advanced chemistry cell giga factory, pack assembly and R&D centre.
Chief Secretary A. Santhi Kumari, IT and industries secretary Jayesh Ranjan, CMO principal secretary V. Seshadri, CMO secretary Shanawaz Qasim, CMO special secretary Ajith Reddy and special secretary (investment promotion) E. Vishnu Vardhan Reddy also took part in the meetings.
