Hyderabad: BJP vice-president D.K. Aruna alleged on Thursday that BRS MLC K. Kavitha was trying to find reasons to complain against the Centre as she was facing arrested a in the Delhi liquor scam.

In a statement, Aruna said Kavitha’s plan to hold a one-day protest on March 10 at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi was designed to prepare the ground for her post-arrest claims that action against her was taken only because she was demanding things for women. Aruna said Kavitha had remained silent when there was no woman in the first Cabinet of her father and Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao.

She said BRS leaders and workers who were protesting against the rise in the price of LPG cylinders, should rotest outside the Chief Minister’s camp office demanding that he keep all the promises he made to the people. The BRS leaders should protest against the increased electricity rates, bus fares and land registration charges.

BJP state president Bandi Sanjay Kumar meanwhile called for a statewide candlelight protest on March 3 against the increasing atrocities on women and girl students.
