Hyderabad: Congress leaders continue to express their difference of opinion in public, with senior MLA from Nalgonda district Komatireddy Venkata Reddy on Saturday describing the PowerPoint presentation by Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao as “very good and thought-provoking,” after which his party MP Palvai Govardhan Reddy snubbed him publicly.

Mr Govardhan Reddy said that it was obvious that Mr Venkata Reddy praised the presentation since he and his brother were beneficiaries of irrigation works awarded by the government.

Speaking at CLP office, Mr Venkata Reddy, while praising the CM for effectively presenting a “total picture” of irrigation in the state, also demanded Mr Rao to tender a public apology on the three promises he made to the people.

He said the promises of providing 12 per cent reservations each to Muslims and STs, and three acre land to each SC family cannot be implemented due to various reasons. As such, it would be better on part of the CM to offer an apology to the public. Referring to the 2BHK houses, the senior Congress MLA said as promised by the government if it can construct one lakh houses in Hyderabad city and 50 in each village by 2019, he himself would campaign, seeking votes for the TRS.

Mr Govardhan Reddy said the Congress Legislature Party leadership has failed miserably to provide information to legislators on the subject of irrigation, but there were still some Congress MLAs who would be able to take on the TRS government with their experience.
