Our ties with TD intact, says BJP
The Centre will announce the new railway zone for AP.
Visakhapatnam: Expressing that there was no broad gap between TD and its ally BJP in Andhra Pradesh, BJP floor leader in the AP Assembly P. Vishnu Kumar Raju said that the two parties will be working together as long as possible for the development of the state.
The BJP leader here on Saturday said that the BJP’s expansion mission did not mean it would work against its ally TD in the state and there was no difference of opinion and the two were working together.
Responding to queries on whether people in Andhra Pradesh are happy with the BJP’s decision on various issues pertaining to the state, Vishnu Kumar Raju alleged that a section of media in AP was ignoring the voices of BJP’s MLAs on the key issues in the state.
Though Vizag is not technically suitable to set up the new railway zone for AP, it is a political commitment. The Centre will announce the new railway zone for AP with Vizag as head quarters and they are waiting for the right time, the BJP leader added.
Speaking on the stray dog menace in Vizag city, the BJP leader said that though Vizag is poised to get smart city status, it stod at top place in the state in hosting over one lakh stray dogs, while the population of the stray dogs in the state is over 3 lakh.
The BJP leader appealed the municipal minister and officials to minimise the stray dog’s number in the city by equally sharing the canines among all the 13 districts in the state.
