YSRC protests TD government's failure to tackle drought

Rajahmundry/Visakhapatnam: As part of state-wide stir, YSR Congress leaders and supporters staged on Monday dharnas carrying empty vessels in front of revenue, municipal and municipal corporation offices in protest against the failure of the TD government to handle drought and water crisis in the summer and in providing relief to the affected people in several parts in the state.

In Kakinada, several YSRC supporters staged a stir on front of the municipal corporation office and criticised the state government for failing to come to the rescue of affected people due to drought and water crisis. At Eluru, the YSRC supporters staged a stir in front of the tahsildar’s office.

In Visakhapatnam, the YSRC leaders and supporters staged a protest in front of the GVMC office with empty pots.

Meanwhile, former minister Botsa Satyanarayana held a protest in front of the tahsildar's officer in Cheepurupalli in Vizianagaram district.
