THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The MLAs of Thiruvananthapuram district, especially Mr K. Muraleedharan, 59,  of the Congress,  have started planning for the development activities of their respective constituencies.   Mr Muraleedharan has already worked out a strategy for Vattiyoorkavu  for the next five years.

He  told DC that there were a few pending infrastructure projects, including Vattiyoorkavu junction development, Kulashekharam bridge,  flyovers at Peroorkada and Pattom and a bund at Maruthankuzhy  and at  Kannammoola- Kunnukuzhy ward to prevent water logging during the monsoon.

BJP MLA O. Rajagopal  said he  would take a call on his priorities  before the session resumes on June 24.  He  was  disappointed that he could not take oath in Sanskrit. The Assembly officials turned  down his request citing that only four languages, Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada and English, were recognized. He had  said earlier that anyone with a genuine grievance in the state can raise the issue before him which he would take  up even with  Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi.
