CPM state meet hails bypoll win

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPM state committee on Saturday entrusted fresh responsibilities to the some of the secretariat members. M.V. Govindan will be in charge of the party organisation, Kollam district secretary K.N. Balagopal who was elevated to state secretariat will be the party in charge of Students Federation of India. The DYFI will be under central committee member E.P. Jayarajan.

P. Rajeeve was appointed as chief editor of party mouthpiece Deshabhi-mani.
The two day state committee meeting which began at AKG Centre here on Saturday hailed the verdict of Chengannur by poll. The party evaluated that all sections of society had rallied behind the LDF in a big way which led to the stupendous victory of Saji Cherian.

Karnataka Assembly election results too had influenced the Chengannur poll outcome. Leaders at the meeting came down heavily against a section of media for running anti-LDF propaganda during Chengannur poll campaign. However, the party unitedly thwarted and defeated their designs.
