Search for suitable place for YSRC plenary commences
They are likely to finalise Bible Mission Grounds as the venue, as it is the nearest to CM\'s camp office in Guntur district
VIJAYAWADA: Ruling YSR Congress leaders are looking for a suitable place to hold their party’s plenary on July 8 and July 9.
Plans are afoot to hold the YSRC plenary in a grand manner this year. This is because party could not hold the annual plenaries during 2020 and 2021 due to Coronavirus pandemic.
Party sources said ministers Botcha Satyanarayana and Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy, MLC Talasila Raghuram and TTD chairman Y.V. Subba Reddy have examined several places on the Vijayawada-Chennai National Highway 16, including Bible Mission Grounds at Acharya Nagarjuna University.
They are likely to finalise Bible Mission Grounds as the venue, as it is the nearest to CM's camp office in Guntur district. It will also be convenient for everyone, including ministers and senior party leaders, due its connectivity with NH-16.
July 8 has been chosen for the plenary session, as it marks late Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy's birth anniversary. Another milestone is that YSRC and Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy-led government have completed three years in power.
All efforts are being made to organise it on a grand scale. Senior leaders to ground-level party cadres are sparing no efforts to make the plenary a success.
YSRC leaders are expected to inform the Chief Minister about Bible Mission Grounds being a convenient place. A final decision will be taken only after the CM okays it. Plenary committees will be appointed thereafter to make fool-proof arrangements.
