Nizamabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president A. Revanth Reddy will visit Nizamabad district on September 8. He will address a public meeting at Armoor, where former BJP leader P. Vinay Kumar Reddy and others will join the Congress in his presence. The District Congress Committee is coordinating with TPCC for Revanth’s visit to the district.

Revanth last visited Armoor on January 30, 2021 as TPCC working president to participate in Rythu Deeksha. He offered lime juice to the turmeric farmers to end their agitation. Armoor is a politically most active town in the undivided Nizamabad district and has been also the centre for farmers’ agitations for the last three decades.

Speaking to Deccan Chronicle, TPCC treasurer P. Sudarshan Reddy said that the TPCC president would welcome BJP and other party leaders into the party fold at Armoor and called upon the party cadre to make Revanth’s visit a grand success. He added that there had been good support from the public to Congress in rural and urban areas across the state for its people-centric policies.
