CPI backing TRS irks BJP in Telangana
The BJP’s national general secretary Mura-lidhar Rao said that the TRS and CPI are two sides of the same coin — both play vote bank politics.
Hyderabad: The BJP seems to be uncomfortable with the Communist Party of India (CPI) supporting TRS in the upcoming Huzurnagar by-election.
The BJP’s national general secretary Mura-lidhar Rao said that the TRS and CPI are two sides of the same coin — both play vote bank politics.
“Whoever is ready to fight against the BJP, the CPI will go with them,” Mr Muralidhar Rao said. “The CPI has become irrelevant acro-ss the country. As the CPI has understood that the Congress has no fut-ure, it has shaken hands with the TRS. It is a survival and revival strategy of the CPI, not any progressive strategy. TRS and CPI suit each other when it’s ab-out voted bank politics.”
Not to be left behind, senior BJP leader A P Jithender Reddy said, “The CPI has cheated the public by entering into an alliance with the TRS. Just nine months back, in the assembly elections in December, the two parties were busy insulting each other. The public will not be deceived by such politics.”
The BJP is aggressively working to win the Huzurnagar by-election; senior leaders have been given responsibility for each mandal. Though no big leader will be campaigning in Huzur-nagar, Mos for Home Affairs Kishan Reddy will be an attraction.
