Hat-Trick of Wins Cements 2024 Lok Sabha Hat-Trick for BJP: PM
NEW DELHI: In a message to the Opposition camp, which had recently rechristened itself from UPA to INDIA, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday advised the bloc not to support anti-India and divisive forces that are against the country's democracy. The Prime Minister also chided the Opposition bloc for trying to stall the country's development path.
Addressing the BJP supporters and cadre after the poll results in four states were declared, Mr Modi asserted that the "echo" of the Assembly polls results will be "heard across the world", adding that it will further strengthen the trust of other nations and investors.
Mr Modi claimed the poll results are an indication of the BJP scoring a hat-trick in 2024.
The Prime Minister also attacked the Congress for indulging in caste-based politics, as he reiterated that for him, empowering the lives of four castes -- women, poor, farmers and youth -- is the mission.
Speaking at the BJP headquarters annexe after the election results of four states showed the party winning in Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh, Mr Modi also mentioned how some people have been claiming that the hat-trick results have given a "guarantee" of a hattrick in 2024, predicting the BJP's will again win the 2024 Lok Sabha polls. He also hinted at the party's possible poll slogan for the general polls -- "Modi ki guarantee." The PM asserted that for the people, the BJP government means development.
"Today's triumph is historic and unprecedented. This day signifies the success of the vision for a developed India. It signifies the triumph of state development for the overall progress of India. Today stands as a victory for honesty, transparency, and good governance," said Mr Modi as hundreds of BJP cadres and supporters cheered him.
Senior BJP leaders, including party president J.P. Nadda, Union ministers Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, Smriti Irani, Purshottam Rupala and Anurag Thakur, and several other party leaders, joined the celebratory mood at the BJP headquarters annexe.
Slamming the Opposition for lacking "rashtra seva ka bhaav," Mr Modi used the term "ghamandiya" for the Opposition bloc while advising them that some dynastic politicians can come together to get a good photo opportunity, but it will not help winning the people's trust.
"These election results are also a big lesson for the Congress and its 'ghamandiya gathbandhan'. The lesson is that the country's trust cannot be won just by a few family members coming together on stage. The spirit of national service that should be there to win the hearts of the people of the country is not there in the ghamandiya gathbandhan..." claimed Mr Modi.
"The echo of these results will not be limited to Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan. The echo of these results will go far...The echo of these elections will be heard all over the world...The world is watching how Bharat's democratic values are maturing," said the Prime Minister, asserting that India's trust in development will further strengthen the trust of other nations and investors from there.
Mr Modi also said that Indians now vote for a stable government with a full majority and are well aware that the BJP's "niti aur nirnayay" has the nation and its people at its core.
"People are now well aware of what greed and people's interests are... Those who try to win by building castles in the sky are rejected by voters. People are now more interested in knowing what the roadmap and credibility of a party are than fake promises," said the Prime Minister.
Mr Modi also claimed that the poll mandate has proved that people have voted out those forces that are against people-centric politics, as he listed out the reaction of the Opposition party leaders towards various Central government's initiatives, including Vande Bharat trains, the Ayushman scheme and rural development initiatives, among others.
Mr Modi also asserted that people want the momentum of the development process to continue as they are now aware that a developed nation means a developed state, which is in the favour of every citizen.
"I want to tell you with full honesty that your dream is my resolve," said Mr Modi.
Hitting out at the Opposition, Mr Modi said the mandate has proved that people have zero tolerance for corruption, favoritism, dynastic politics in the country and those who provide a shield to corrupt individuals with various arguments, as he referred to the allegations levelled by the Opposition of misuse of investigating agencies against some of their leaders.
In a stinging attack on the Opposition, Mr Modi said the poll verdict has proved that anyone who comes between them and the development will be removed.
Mr Modi also reached out to the youth and women voters, who have been playing a crucial role in the BJP's win.
"I used to say in election rallies that women have decided to lift the victory flag...if the naari shakti is the armour of someone, no one can harm that person. Women know that the BJP is the biggest guarantee of women's protection. This is Modi's guarantee that we will fulfil every promise made to them," said the Prime Minister, mentioning the women reservation law.
Reaching out to the youth, Mr Modi said, “The election results have made one more thing clear. The youth of the country solely desire development. Wherever governments have worked against the interests of the youth, those governments have been ousted from power. Whether it is Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh or Telangana, all these governments were embroiled in allegations of paper leaks and recruitment scams. The result is that in all three states, the parties in power are now out of government.”
Hailing the hard work of the BJP cadre, Mr Modi said their task has further increased as "negative forces" will now make more attempts to foster discord in society and will be on the lookout for opportunities to create discord.
"It is imperative not only to confront and counter them but also to counter their false narratives. Most importantly, for us, maintaining the trust of the people remains paramount," said the Prime Minister.
