Kunduru Jaiveer Reddy: Nagarjunasagar people revolted against BRS
Hyderabad: Congress’ Nagarjunasagar candidate Kunduru Jaiveer Reddy, the son of veteran Congress leader K. Jana Reddy, who won with a majority of 56,210 votes on Sunday, said that the people of the constituency had revolted against the BRS government for its failure on all fronts in the last nine years.
Speaking to Deccan Chronicle after his victory, Jaiveer Reddy said that his top priority was to ensure all-round development of the constituency.
He said his father Jana Reddy who had represented this constituency for nearly four decades and had won seven elections, had developed the constituency.
"Whatever development happened in the Nagarjunasagar constituency was during my father's tenure as MLA and minister. All the roads, schools,
colleges, houses for the poor etc were built by my father," Jaiveer Reddy said.
“The BRS won this seat in 2018 with fake promises. They cheated people with the same fake promises in the 2021 bypoll and won. They tried to cheat again with fake promises but the people taught them a fitting lesson this time," Jaiveer Reddy said.
The Nagarjunasagar MLA-elect thanked the people of the constituency for electing him with a huge margin, the highest among all the Assembly segments under the Nalgonda parliamentary constituency.
He said his main task was to create better infrastructure facilities for the people in the constituency, implement all the welfare schemes promised
by the Congress including the Six Guarantees effectively and ensure the welfare and development of all sections of people.
