Hyderabad: Nizamabad MP Dharmapuri Aravind alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was afraid of BJP and the state was in a stupor while government teachers and employees were suffering due to GO 317.

Addressing the media, he alleged that Rao was using police, who were acting like TRS agents. Criticizing the DGP Mahendar Reddy, Aravind said that Reddy was destroying the entire police system while selling himself to TRS rulers.

Meanwhile, BJP OBC morcha national president K Laxman said foiling a peaceful protest was unheard of and the action of Karimnagar police against Sanjay was undemocratic.

Describing the arrest of Sanjay as undemocratic, legislator Etala Rajendar said that the state government will be buried deep down. He demanded the government to withdraw cases against Sanjay unconditionally.

Finding fault with Karimnagar police commissioner V Satyanarayana, who was acting at the behest of the chief minister, Etela said BJP will not be cowed down by police cases.

Dubbaka MLA Raghunandan took serious objection to police sending Sanjay to judicial remand and alleged that police were being biased against BJP leaders and cadre.

Raghunandan pointed out that no action would be taken in the Old City even when rallies are taken out with thousands of people participating in them.

Party leaders Vijaya Shanti and DK Aruna also spoke against victimisation by the police.
