Karnataka's fiscal status is strong, says HD Kumaraswamy
He also said that his government has been implementing all pro-poor schemes announced in the Budget.
Hubballi: Stating that the BJP has launched false propaganda claiming the financial status of the government is poor after implementation of the farm loan waiver, Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy maintained that there is no dearth of funds for development projects despite the launch of the scheme.
Speaking at a convention of the Banjara community in Vijayapura on Sunday, he said that his government is trying to provide justice to the community by formulating schemes. He also said that his government has been implementing all pro-poor schemes announced in the Budget.
"Let me assure people that the financial status of the government is strong and there is no dearth of funds. Don't get misled by the canards spread by some people", he said. Admitting that the majority of people of the Banjara community migrate in search of better earnings, the Chief Minister said that he has decided to provide employment to the community at Lambani Thandas itself. Urging the community to give more priority to the education of their children, he said that a direction has been issued to the officials concerned to prepare a comprehensive plan to ensure better facilities and employment to the community to stop their migration.
Warning that some people in society were creating divisions in the name of religion and caste, the chief minister stressed that the uniqueness of the country lies in its diversity.
