Congress manifesto helps Narendra Modi, says BV Raghavulu
B.V. Raghavulu said that the manifesto showed a lack of sincerity and commitment of the Congress.
Khammam: The CPM is unable to understand the manifesto of the Congress which does not reflect the aim of the Congress to unseat Prime Minister Narendra Modi and communal forces. CPM politburo member B.V. Raghavulu said that the manifesto showed a lack of sincerity and commitment of the Congress. The BJP and its allies will be strengthened with the agenda of the Congress.
“The minimum income scheme announced by Rahul Gandhi is not a new one and was in the BJP manifesto announced in the earlier elections. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu also referred to the same scheme 15 years ago,” he said, adding that the present subsidies being extended by government will be lifted in future by the government in future. The subsidies being given on ration, gas and petroleum will not be waived with the scheme.
He said that Mr Rahul Gandhi, instead of contesting from Varanasi, selected Wayanad in Kerala and this was not wise.
On Mr Modi’s chowkidar statement, he said that the Prime Minister works as a chowkidar for the Ambanis and not for the people of India. He said that Mr Modi had handed over many airports and ports to the Adani group with a single signature.
“People of the country require a protector at present and not the eater of the public money. It is heinous to use the army and border attacks for political purposes,” he said.
On Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, he said that the TRS’ slogan of ‘Give it 16 MPs’ for the development of Telangana was a ridiculous one.
