Kalyana Rajya Pragati Paksha hints at post-poll alliance
Mangaluru: Kalyana Rajya Pragati Paksha (KRPP) founder G Jarnardhan Reddy has expressed his willingness to form a post-poll alliance with any political party that guarantees to fulfill the commitments made by his party to the voters.
Reddy who formed his party a few months ago is mainly concentrating on North Karnataka, Kalyana Karnataka region. He has been touring various constituencies to strengthen his party.
During his visit to Jamkhandi in Bagalkot district on Monday, Reddy told reporters that the party had a clear chance of winning in around 31 constituencies and was making progress in many others.
Reddy stated that the party was getting good support from the people and that the backing would become apparent on counting day.
When asked about the possibility of collaborating with any political party post-election, Reddy said that it would be subject to the voters' decision.
"KRPP would align with the political party that gurantees the commitments made by us. It could be either the BJP or the Congress," he said.
He emphasized that the party focused on winning and not on who the opponent was.
"I have formed the party not out of anger or as a grudge against anyone. I had initiated several projects, including airports in Mysuru, Kalburgi, and Vijayapura, while serving as minister. I have many ideas for the people which no one has fulfilled in the last 12 years," he said.
Reddy said that he wanted to work for the people and declared his intention to strengthen the party and contest from all the constituencies in the next assembly election in 2028.
"We will form booth level committees and appoint booth level workers in every village in the state. Our party will contest from all the 224 constituencies in the 2028 election," he added.
