Bengaluru: While the campaigning for assembly polls gains momentum, Jayanagar MLA B.N. Vijaya Kumar of the BJP has said that he was contemplating on lodging a police compliant against Home Minister Ramalinga Reddy for intimidating his party workers. 

While campaigning at Jayanagar 4th Block, he told Deccan Chronicle that his party workers and voters in the constituency are being intimidated and directed to vote for Congress or face dire consequences.

Mr Reddy is leaving no stone unturned to ensure that his daughter Sowmya Reddy, who is contesting from Jayanagar as Congress party candidate, is victorious. 

Mr Kumar said that he always believed in development as mantra and winning the hearts of voters. He alleged that rowdy elements are being used to intimidate the voters both physically and through phone calls. He said this was a totally shameful act and said he would take up the issue with the Election Commission and Chief Election Officer.

He claimed that he was always accessible to voters of the constituency and had done a lot in the field of education, development and maintaining play ground and parks.
