17 new mandals to be formed in Karimnagar district.
Karimnagar: It seems, carving of new districts is likely to become a boon for budding politicians and new entrants. With state government deciding to create new districts, a new crop of professionals, activists and educationists are planning to venture into politics. At the same time, the existing leaders of various political parties including TRS are anxious about their future.
The TRS government’s move to form new entities in order to simplify administration is likely to result in creation of more political posts and to spur many enthusiastic ones to enter the realm of politics. Two more new districts are likely to be formed out of Karimnagar district. Around 17 new mandals and few revenue divisions are in the offing.
Consequently, more number of posts of Zilla Parishad chairperson, member of ZPTC and MPTC will be generated. For this reason certain lawy-ers, doctors, social activists and owners of educational institutions are trying to test their luck in the field of politics. So, they are starting Yuva-sena, wing of young followers and groups on WhatsApp and Facebook, social networking site.
These wannabe politicians are trying to sense the pulse of people by promoting themselves or through their supporters on social media. They are also conducting service oriented programmes and are extending monetary support to the needy in order to build image and publicity. Some of them are organising competition of games and are constantly raising problems of people through protests.
However, the arrival of new generation into politics can cast shadow on the prospects of present leaders belonging to different political parties. It is learnt that many public representatives are feeling insecure about their future.
But, they are unable to prevent entry of professionals, activists and educationalists into their new domain.
