BRS attacks Rahul over Rs 4000 pensions
HYDERABAD: The BRS on Monday severely criticized Rahul Gandhi for his promise of Rs 4,000 per month pension in Telangana, saying he had no clue about what he was talking. Ministers Vemula Prashant Reddy, Puvvada Ajay Kumar and G. Jagadish Reddy, along party MPs and MLAs, speaking to the media, said Rahul Gandhi should first implement the scheme in states where the Congress is in power.
“Let him declare that Congress will implement this promise across the country. Rahul just read a script written by local party leaders and he is not even aware that in Congress-ruled states just a few hundred rupees are given as welfare pensions. The people of Telangana are not fools to believe him,” Prashant Reddy said.
Ajay Kumar said that notwithstanding the Sunday meeting and Congress’ claims, the BRS will win all the seats in Khammam. “People placed their faith in BRS twice and KCR will score a hattrick with a third win,” he said.
Jagadish Reddy, said Rahul Gandhi is a “reader, and not a leader,” and, referring to the ‘BJP Rishtedar Samithi’ comment, added, “The BRS is not a ‘rishtedar’ of the BJP, but it is Rahul Gandhi is a guttedar to the BJP.”
