Hyderabad: The Telangana High Court on Thursday decided to hear the PIL filed by former minister Ch Harirama Jogaiah seeking directions to the CBI court at Hyderabad to conduct trial regularly in the CBI cases against AP CM Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and fix a time limit.

Though the PIL was filed several months back, the registry of the Telangana High Court had not allocated a number to the PIL so far. On an earlier occasion, the High Court had expressed doubts about the intention of Jogaiah in filing the matter as a PIL.

The same PIL was placed before the Chief Justice bench on Thursday by the registry, seeking instructions. The court directed the registry to give it a number and said that it would check whether the petition came within the purview of public interest or Jogaiah’s self-interest.
