Collectors told to disburse OAP, house site pattas without delay

Chennai: Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami directed the district collectors to ensure there was no delay in disbursing old age pension (OAP) and issuing free house site pattas or patta transfers to the beneficiaries.

He also instructed the collectors to make sure that the essential commodities were distributed without any hassles through the fair price shops under the public distribution system (PDS). Reviewing the implementation of various schemes of the state government, along with collectors of four districts at the secretariat here on Monday, Mr Palaniswami laid emphasis on improving the civic amenities both in urban and rural areas.

He also gave a patient hearing to the views conveyed by the collectors – T. G. Vinay (Dindigul district), T. N. Hariharan (Coimbatore), L. Subramanian (Villupuram) and K. S. Palanichamy (Tiruppur district), on the occasion.
