EVMs, VVPATs Arrive in AP For Use in Andhra Pradesh Assembly Polls
First Level Checking (FLC) of EVMs will start from October 16 at the Gollapudi AMC
Vijayawada: Election Commission of India (ECI) has sent 5,700 EVMs, 4,180 UIs and 5,460 VVPATs to Vijayawada ahead of the forthcoming general elections for the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly.
All these electronic voting and voter verifiable paper audit trail machines have been kept in godowns of the are kept in godowns of the Agricultural Marketing Committee at Gollapudi near Vijayawada.
NTR district Collector S. Dilli Rao, along with engineers from BEL (Bharath Engineering Limited) visited these godowns on Wednesday. The engineers are carrying out Acceptance Test Procedures on the machines. Dilli Rao inquired from BEL engineers about the working and safety of EVMs, control units and VVPATs.
Further, the collector said the First Level Checking (FLC) of EVMs will start from October 16 at the Gollapudi AMC.
