Kodali Nani says Purandeswari working for Naidu

Vijayawada: Former minister and YSR Congress legislator Kodali Venkateswara Rao Nani on Saturday asked whether former union minister Daggubati Purandeswari is in Congress or continuing in BJP as its AP president or is with Telugu Desam.

“Her statements are causing a lot of confusion, as her statements are supportive of TDP chief N. Chandrababu Naidu. BJP should clarify her position,” Kodali Nani stated. He maintained that Purandeswari’s statements appear as though she is not with BJP anymore.

In her letter to the Chief Justice of India D.Y. Chandrachud, the ruling party MLA said media favouring TD is fanning this news. He suspected that Purandeswari had joined the BJP only to extend support to Chandrababu. He wondered whether she attaches any values to politics, going by the way she has been making statements.

Kodali Nani sought to remind that Purandeswari had been with Telugu Desam in the past She backstabbed TD founder and her father N.T. Rama Rao in support of Chandrababu Naidu, he remarked.

The former minister pointed out that earlier Purandeswari had been with Congress as a union cabinet minister. When the government changed, she left Congress and joined BJP. She is now working under the direction of Chandrababu, he remarked.
