PK Calls on Naidu, Inquires About Latter's Health

Vijayawada: Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan on Saturday called on Telugu Desam president N. Chandrababu Naidu at the latter’s residence in Hyderabad. He asked Naidu about his health condition.

The former chief minister had earlier visited AIG hospital for a medical check-up. After the initial formalities, Pawan Kalyan and Naidu along with Lokesh and Nadendla Manohar, discussed political developments in both AP and TS.

This meeting gains significance as both Jana Sena and TD are going to contest the forthcoming polls in AP in alliance. Moreover, both the parties are expected to release a common manifesto soon. District level coordination meetings are going on between the two parties.

Sources say Pawan Kalyan and Naidu are learnt to have discussed the alliance with BJP.  The BJP has already been in alliance with JS for some time. BJP state leadership has recently reiterated this aspect and has said their party national leadership will decide on AP BJP’s alliance with other parties, in an oblique reference to TD.

The BJP leadership has also been maintaining that a decision on their party’s alliance with other parties will be taken at an appropriate time.

Jana Sena is learnt to have come up with some plans on certain issues, so that it can reach out to people and seek their support. JS is to discuss these with Telugu Desam. The matter could have figured in Saturday’s meeting between the two party leaders.
