K Chandrasekhar Rao plans PR training for sarpanches

The master trainers will train the sarpanches, upa sarpanches and local officials.

Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao will holding a meeting of master trainers on the panchayat raj Act on Wednesday at Pragathi Bhavan. The Chief Minister’s Office has invited about 200 officers at the district and mandal level apart from senior officials of the panchayat raj department of the meeting.

Mr Rao has decided to organise a full-fledged training programme for the newly elected sarpanches and upa sarpanches to provide them a perspective on shaping the villages. He wants to provide orientation to develop greenery and improve sanitation as well as train them in the Panchayat Raj act. The copies of legislation in Telugu would be sent to every gram panchayat officer.

In the master training meeting, the officers will be briefed about the law, duties of sarpanches in development among others. The master trainers will train the sarpanches, upa sarpanches and local officials.
