Hyderabad: TRS working president K.T. Rama Rao on Monday dared Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu to stand up to scrutiny and a probe in the alleged data theft case rather than accusing the Telangana state government of seeking vengeance.

He explained that T. Lokeswara Reddy complained that data pertaining to voters and beneficiaries of Andhra Pradesh government schemes was stolen by the private firm, IT Grid, located in Hyderabad, and as both the complainant and the accused are located in Hyderabad, the Telangana police took up the investigation as it was in their jurisdiction. He faulted the Andhra Pradesh police for raiding Lokeswara Reddy’s residence and harassing him by violating jurisdiction and without prior intimation to the Telangana police.
