VIJAYAWADA: Telugu Desam chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday asserted that his party will continue to fight against the ruling YSRC government’s atrocities and attacks against TD workers.

Addressing a meeting of the party’s state-level legal cell, he profusely thanked advocates for bailing out TD leaders and activists from false cases being foisted against them for the past four years.

Naidu recalled that it is TD that allotted party tickets to as many as 47 advocates, including Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, Nakka Ananda Babu, GMC Balayogi, Yerran Naidu and Alapati Rajendra Prasad. It made Kanakamedala Ravindra Kumar, once TD legal cell in charge as a member of the Rajya Sabha.

The TD chief said he has never witnessed the kind of lawless situation prevailing in Andhra Pradesh, though he has been a member of the State Legislative Assembly since 1978. He commented that advocates, however, are getting full-time work under the atrocious rule of the YSRC, while other systems have totally collapsed.

Naidu declared that the TD regime has a record of suppressing extremists, factionists and communal forces. He made it clear that political rowdyism too will be rooted out once TD forms the government again.

Declaring that the atrocities of the YSRC government will be paid back with interest, the TD chief called upon the advocates’ community to join hands with the party to end the current dictatorial rule of Jagan Mohan Reddy in the state.
