Kadapa: All contestants promise development

Industrial development also promised by election canditates.

Kadapa: The Lok Sabha contestants from Kadapa are promising to develop all the Assembly segments in the district. Mr Chadipiralla Adinarayana Reddy, the TD aspirant said that, his principle subjects were ‘Triple I’, which were industries, irrigation and infrastructure. Mr Avinash Reddy, the contestant from YSRC has said that he will work for the development of agriculture and irrigation sectors. Mr Singareddy Sriramachandra Reddy, the BJP aspirant has assured that, he would open the distressed industries in the district and generate employment opportunities. Mr Gujjula Eswaraiah, the CPI candidate has said that he will fight for the steel plant built under the management of Steel Authority of India.

Mr Chadipiralla Adinarayana Reddy, the TD contestant said that, irrigation, infrastructure and industries are the most important sectors to develop. One must work for the integrated development in the district with the funds allocated from the State and Central governments, he said. “There are so many opportunities for the development of tourism in Kadapa and we will work for it,” he said.

The basic needs of the villages — roads, electricity, street lighting, drinking water facilities — must be improved, he said. “I will motivate the farmers to do co-operative farming, which will lead to good development,” Mr Adinarayana said and added “At present the MP gets Rs 5 crore per annum for the development of his constituency. I will demand Rs 10 crore per annum.” He further added, “Along with Kadapa Steel Plant and subsidiary industries, we will work for the development of wind and solar power generation in the district.”

Mr Singareddy Sriraamachandra Reddy, who was a senior leader in Bhartiya Janata Party and the contestant for Kadapa has expressed that, the distressed industries in district must re open. If he is elected as MP, he will inaugurate the steel plant with Prime Minister Modi, he promised. He would also ensure the reopening of the sugar factory at Chennur and dairy industry at Kadapa. Many of the lands allotted have been in the name of software companies. "I will work for the growth of IT industries in the district", he added. The BJP will adopt Rayalaseema for a special development project he said and added, "Drinking water is more essential to the public; we will try to supply adequate pure drinking water to the people. We will work for the unity of farmers and guide them in farming with the experts he added."

Mr Y. S. Avinash Reddy, the YSR Congress aspirant has alleged that since the last ten years, the rulers have been unjust to Kadapa district. He confidently said, “Our party will form the government in the state. When I am elected as MP, I will do justice to Kadapa. I am conversant with the problems of Kadapa as discussed in the Parliament for the last four years. I will pressurise the Central government to fulfil the needs of the district.”

He further added, “I will give preference to complete the pending projects in the district. I will place a special transport system for the transport of banana products to the other states. The sugarcane farmers in the state are sending their crop to Podalakuru factory which is in Nellore. The transport charges are Rs 1,500 per tonne. Our government will reopen the Chennur sugar factory. Every weaver who has a loom will get loans from the weaver’s corporation he added.”

Mr Gujjula Eswaraiah, the CPI aspirant for Kadapa has said that he will fight for the confirmed water form Krishna river to the projects in Kadapa.
