7 lakh trained YSRC cadre to reach out to people
VIJAYAWADA: Adviser to government Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy has said the YSRC cadre is going to explain the difference between the earlier Telugu Desam and present Jagan-led government, during the Jagananne Maa Bhavishyattu-Maa Nammakam Nuvve Jagan mass interaction programme.
The programme would start from April 7. Seven lakh trained party cadres, in small batches, will reach out to all houses across the 26 districts and interact with every individual and collect their opinions on the performance of the present government.
Ramakrishna Reddy along with social welfare minister Merugu Nagarjuna, BC welfare minister Chelluboina Venugopalakrishna, planning board vice-chairman and MLA Malladi Vishnu, MLCs Lella Appireddy and Chandragiri Yesuratnam released the Jagananne Maa Bhavishyattu posters at the YSRC central office here on Tuesday.
Addressing the media, the adviser explained that over 7 lakh grassroots workers would cover all the 1.6 crore households in 14 days under the Jagananne Maa Bhavishyatthu, the biggest- ever outreach programme by any political party in the recent past.
The mass campaign will officially be launched on April 7.
Ramakrishna Reddy said, “The campaign slogan Maa Nammakam Nuvve Jagan has come from the public itself. There were multiple group discussions with the public at the grassroots across 12,000 secretariats. What stood out among all these conversations was this slogan. This reflects theground reality that people across the state trust CM Jagan for their better future.”
Elaborating on the upcoming campaign, Ramakrishna Reddy said, “The grassroots soldiers who will be active in the campaign have been in touch with the party’s central office, regional coordinators as well as MLAs for the last 3-4 months and have undergone mandal-wise training in mission mode wherein they were equipped to conduct effective public connect.”
The adviser said Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s intention is to bring a visible change in the people's lives and “political parties should be answerable to the people.”
He said that as part of the campaign, the MLAs and regional coordinators will actively coordinate with Secretariat conveners. Gruha Saradhulu will also provide a questionnaire to the public and gather their feedback about the welfare done to them after YSRC came to power, drawing a comparison on the implementation of schemes, with the previous TD term.”
Ramakrishna Reddy said that based on the feedback gathered from the public during the ‘Gadapa Gadapaku Mana Prabhutvam’ (GGMP) by MLAs and volunteers, around 80-90 per cent of the public stated that they have noticed a positive change in the governance now and expressed their confidence that ‘Jagan is the State’s only future.’
In a review of GGMP, the Chief Minister also said that around 92 per cent of the people out of the 1.6 crore families in rural areas and 84 per cent of the people in urban areas --which means as high as 87 per cent of people in the state on an average -- benefitted through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) or non-Direct Benefit Transfer schemes implemented by the government.
