Why CM gave job to a Maharashtra techie, asks Revanth
HYDERABAD: Taking the BRS government to task for offering a job in the party to a Maharashtrian youth, TPPC chief A. Revanth Reddy stated the gesture was made with the objective of bolstering the party’s political standing in that state.
Sharad Markad from Maharashtra has been hired with a salary of Rs 18 lakh per year. The information was published in the BRS-affiliated media that a Maharashtrian youth joined the party after being impressed by its vision and commitment to the welfare and development of the farming community, and that he had quit his software job that paid him Rs 5 lakh per year that he joined only two days ago, Revanth Reddy explained.
“Is this why 1,200 Telangana youth gave their lives for the state,” he asked. “Why was he hired at more than three times the salary he was reportedly getting? This is despite the fact that 30 lakh youth and 20 lakh students in the state face an uncertain future due to a lack of jobs. When the state was formed, the state government claimed that there were 1,07,000 vacancies, while the Biswal committee stated that there were 1,91,738 vacancies. There are currently two lakh vacancies in the state," he remarked.
The announcement to fill 80,000 vacancies was a hoax and a joke as the TSPSC question papers were leaked. The GO to appoint Markad was kept secret despite the High Court ruling that the information be made public, stated Revanth Reddy while demanding that the GO be rescinded immediately.
“We are calling on the youth and students to attend the meeting on May 8 where a youth declaration will be made and education and employment policies would be announced,” the TPCC chief informed. Further, quoting the National Crime Records Bureau statistics, Revanth Reddy stated that 8,500 farmers have committed suicide in the state. “We call on the youth, students and farmers to participate in the May 8 meeting and make it a big success,” he said.
In response to questions regarding the BRS’s role in Karnataka, he stated, "If BRS is serious about fighting the BJP, why can't they issue a call to the Karnataka people to defeat the party? By supporting JD(S) they just want to benefit BJP once a hung Assembly is formed," he noted.
On Bajrang Dal activists assembling in front of Gandhi Bhavan on Friday and reciting Hanuman Chalisa, Revanth Reddy remarked, "I invite Kishan Reddy and Laxman to come and chant Hanuman Chalisa with us. We are Hindus, and we have no objection to chanting it. The difference between the BJP and the Congress is that we don't use religion to gain electoral advantage.”
In response to a question on why Karnataka PCC president D.K. Shiva Kumar was visiting Hanuman temples after promising to ban the Bajrang Dal, Revanth Reddy stated, “It is normal to be open for those in public life. We have to be visible for our followers who look up to us.”
