Siddaramaiah close aide Marigowda's bail plea hearing today

Mysuru: The bail petition of CM Siddaramaiah’s close aide K. Marigowda, who surrendered on Wednesday in a case related to the alleged abuse of DC C. Shikha in public, has been put off to Friday.

Marigowda had filed the bail petition in the third JMFC Court here. The court on Wednesday remanded Marigowda to judicial custody till August 16. He was later shifted to Central Prison in Mysuru.

He is prisoner No. 9308 and is being given jail food. However he is allowed to wear own clothes, jail authorities said. Ms Shikha had lodged a complaint with Nazarbad Police charging him with obstructing her from performing her duties and addressing her in the singular.

Marigowda’s anticipatory bail pleas were dismissed by the 7th additional district and sessions court and also the High Court.
