T. Rajaiah likely to join Congress
After being denied the ticket this time, Rajaiah broke down in front of his followers
Hyderabad: BRS Station Ghanpur MLA Thatikonda Rajaiah, denied a renomination by the party, met senior Congress leader Damodar Raja Narasimha in a hotel at Hanamkonda on Monday. The BRS chose MLC Kadiyam Srihari for the seat.
After being denied the ticket this time, Rajaiah broke down in front of his followers. He soon started making his political moves and assured his cadre that was still in the race for the Station Ghanpur seat.
His meeting with Raja Narasimha, along with Namindla Srinivas, is being seen as part of his future course of action.
Party sources said that following the 45-minute discussion, Rajaiah may join the Congress although neither of them confirmed the development.
Earlier in the day, Rajaiah and Srihari met during the re-installation of Sri Sita Ramachandra Swamy idols in Valmidi, Palakurthy. They shook hands and sat beside each other. Wwhen Srihari was about to address the gathering, Rajaiah left the place and went straight to meet Raja Narasimha.
