Sena puts up posters in UP, showing Modi as Lord Ram', Pak PM as Ravan'

Varanasi: The Shiv Sena workers started a poster war in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's parliamentary constituency Varanasi on Wednesday, in which they depicted Prime Minister Narendra Modi as ‘Lord Ram’ and his Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharif as ‘Ravan’.

In the same poster, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was depicted as Ravan's son Meghnath and is called a Pakistani agent for questioning the surgical strikes carried out by the Indian Army.

"We have been extremely troubled by the Delhi Chief Minister's remark questioning our Army... If someone enters our house and attacks, we will retaliate. Kejriwal is posing as a Pakistani agent," Ajay Chaubey, a Shiv Sena worker, said.

"We need one more surgical strike to give Pakistan a befitting reply," he added.

The party workers also warned Kejriwal of dire consequences if he ever visits Varanasi and said that he would have to pay a heavy price for doubting the country's intentions.

During their protest, the Shiv Sena workers also raised slogans against Pakistan.

Arvind Kejriwal had earlier questioned the September 29 surgical strikes carried out by the Indian Army across the Line of Control (LoC).

However, later he defended his remark and said that evidence of the surgical strikes should be released to counter Pakistan's propaganda and its denial of the strikes.

"BJP, I m convinced that strikes took place. But intl media publishing Pak propaganda that no strike took place. Let's expose Pak propaganda," Kejriwal tweeted in response to the criticism by the BJP.
