No luxuries, this Yogi Adityanath sleeps at Mangaluru mutt
The Yogishwar Math, commonly known as Jogi Math of Kadri in Mangaluru, is most revered by the Natha sect.
Mangaluru: At a time when most netas opt for cozy comforts of a posh hotel or check in to Circuit Houses managed by the state government, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath preferred to halt at Kadri Yogishwar Math in Mangaluru on Wednesday night.
He landed in Mangaluru on Tuesday night, left for Kerala by road, but returned tonight to Yogishwar Math in Kadri.
The Yogishwar Math, commonly known as Jogi Math of Kadri in Mangaluru, is most revered by the Natha sect. Since Yogi Adityanath hails from Natha tradition, he was promoted as Mahant of the Gorakhnath Math in 2014. He had visited the Math earlier too but tonight’s visit was his first after taking charge as Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. Security was beefed up in and around the Math premises since the morning.
Yogi Adityanath arrived at the Math around 10-45 pm, and was accorded a warm welcome by the Raaja of Math Sri Nirmalnath Ji. The Chief Minister asked the people to contribute for development of the country.
He defined the importance of the coastal belt. "Sri Shankaracharya ji who is from south went to north and Sri Gorakhnath came from north to south. This is a special place," he added
Yogi Adityanath meanwhile blamed the CPI (M) for attacks on Hindus. "Kerala is the place of Sri Shankaracharya, Sri Narayanaguru and Matha Amritanandamayi. In such a place CPI(M) is conspiring Sanathana Dharma," he alleged.
