Malappuram/ Thiruvananthapuram: “The BJP’s  ‘Janaraksha Yatra’ is a planned attempt to create hatred and havoc in the state,” according to CPM secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan.

“Their propaganda leader Amit Shah is a wolf in disguise.  The BJP’s call for nonstop marches to AKG Bhavan in New Delhi up to October 17   is meant to provoke the party workers and  unleash violence. Everybody should be aware of the RSS agenda,” Mr Kodiyeri told reporters  in Vengara on Wednesday.

He warned the party workers not to fall  into the trap and said the CPM will organise a nationwide campaign against RSS’s communal propaganda against Kerala and the CPM.  The full list of the men killed by the RSS goons will be made public soon,  he said.

“BJP state president Kummanam Rajashekharan has imported RSS criminals from other states. Immediately after the inauguration of the yatra at  Payyanur, they unleashed attacks at  Karivallur and nearby places. They  even targeted the house of freedom fighter A.V.  Kunhambu.  Creating ruckus in the state by bringing people from other states is unprecedented, ” he said.

In a statement issued in Thiruvananthapuram, Mr Kodiyeri said the BJP and RSS cannot silence the CPM through violence and threats.

Mr  Amit Shah's statement that chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan was directly responsible for the political violence highly irresponsible, he said.

The demonstrations and marches being taken out to the CPM offices in different states were against the constitutional right to carry out political activity, he said.
