YSRC's triple bus yatras project Jagan as messiah
Vijayawada: YSRC ministers, legislators, and leaders participating in the Samajika Sadhikara bus yatras in the northern, central, and southern regions are emphasising that social empowerment had been a mere slogan in the past. Whereas now, the YSRC government under the leadership of Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has truly empowered BCs, SCs, STs, and minorities not just socially but also politically.
The YSRC yatras on the seventh day witnessed mammoth rallies and public meetings in Guntur, Srungavarapukota in Vizianagaram district, and Dharmavaram in Sri Sathya Sai district. People have responded enthusiastically, as though responding to the social and political empowerment of the underprivileged.
YSRC regional coordinators, ministers, MPs, legislators, and party leaders elaborated on Jagan Mohan Reddy's unwavering commitment towards investing in human capital, particularly those belonging to marginalised communities.
Minister Chelluboyina Venugopal described the Chief Minister as a visionary leader, unlike the divisive TD chief N. Chandrababu Naidu. He reminded people of Naidu mentioning that no one would want to be willingly born into the SC community. Venugopal underlined that Naidu did not give any ministerial post to minorities when he formed the government. But Jagan Mohan Reddy made a minority the deputy CM and gave several other minority leaders various posts in the party and government.
Minister Merugu Nagarjuna described the Chief Minister as a messianic beacon of social revolution in the country. He urged the public to unite and support YSRC to ensure the prosperity of all regions and all sections of the society in Andhra Pradesh, not just a select few capitalists, as had been the case during the TD regime.
MP Mopidevi Venkata Ramana said even after 75 years of Independence, poverty still haunts our nation. “With his bold and decisive moves, the CM has made it his mission to eradicate poverty in AP. He has already transformed the state,” the MP declared.
Hailing Jagan Mohan Reddy for his unwavering commitment to uplift the weaker sections, minister Adimulapu Suresh emphasised that a whopping Rs2.31 lakh crore has been spent on BC, SC, ST, and minority communities in the last four and a half years. He questioned why the previous TD regime failed to extend the same kind of welfare, given that they have claimed to have made a similar budget for the same.
MLAs Mustafa and Hafeez Khan, and MLCs Lella Appi Reddy, Janga Krishnamurthy, and Yesu Ratnam were among other senior leaders present at the public rally, symbolising a single, unified front against the entire opposition.
Earlier, leaders paid a floral tribute to the grand bronze statue of former chief minister late Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy. They then flagged off a bus yatra and a bike rally, featuring over 1,000 bikes, 60 autorickshaws, and a chariot adorned with a 10-foot cutout of Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy.
The three yatras in different regions culminated in public meetings, including a massive one at King Hotel Junction.
