Minister seeks probe into \'involvement of Naidu, Lokesh\' in APSDC 

Vijayawada: Housing Minister Jogi Ramesh alleged on Sunday that Nara Chandrababu Naidu while as chief minister, as also his son Nara Lokesh, were involved in the AP Skill Development Corporation scam.

The minister sought a thorough investigation to punish Naidu and Lokesh. ED had issued notices to 26 accused in the APSDC scam registered during the term of the former Telugu Desam government.

Addressing the media here on Sunday, the minister said this was a huge scam during the TD rule and the misappropriation was of Rs 241 crore. Chandrababu and his son played a role in this as there was no chance of such a big scam happening without their knowledge.

Ramesh said the TD-JSP-BJP alliance was in power for five years till 2019. “Now Chandrababu is unable to tell the people what the TD has done during the five years. When the TD survey teams were saying that TD has no chance of winning in 86 constituencies, Chandrababu is blaming us and trying to fuel hatred against the YSRC with evil intentions.”

The minister said the YSRC government has done what no government had done in the past 70 years. Through various welfare schemes, it had distributed Rs 1.76 lakh crore into the accounts of beneficiaries through DBT.

The minister alleged that Chandrababu was talking like a psycho to divert the attention of the public from the “Jayaho BC” and Rayalaseema Garjana. “Jagan is the only CM who transformed 82,000 BCs as public representatives in the history of India. Under the leadership of CM Jagan, the BC leaders are holding the huge Jayaho BC meeting. To divert the people’s attention from the meetings, our MP Vijaya Sai Reddy and Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy are being targeted,” he said.

He said, “No matter how much leaders like Buddha Venkanna and Yanamala criticise our leaders, they can do nothing. No matter how many gimmicks Chandrababu plays, the slogans of Jayaho BC, Jayaho Jagananna are resounding throughout the state.”

“Knowing about Lokesh political inefficiency, Chandrababu is supporting Pawan Kalyan,” he said.
