BJP not keen on filling up 13 lakh vacancies: Kavitha
Hyderabad: MLC K. Kavitha released the 2023 diary and calendar of Telangana Non Gazetted Officers Union (TNGOs Union), Hyderabad unit, here on Friday in the presence of the unit’s president Dr S.M. Hussaini (Mujeeb).
Kavitha said that the BRS government led by Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao had proved that it was employee-friendly. She mentioned that the Chief Minister had given two of the highest fitments in 2015 and 2021 for state government employees.
She hailed the role of the union in achieving statehood with their active participation in the agitation and stepping up pressure on the then Centre to grant Telangana state.
She lashed out at the BJP-led government at the Centre saying that while it was weakening government wings by not undertaking recruitments even though 13 lakh vacancies exist in various central government departments, the BRS government has been strengthening government departments with recruitment of 90,000 personnel last year.
Dr. Mujeeb submitted a representation to the BRS MLC and other union leaders seeking solution to long pending issues of employees by taking them to the notice of the Chief Minister.
Meanwhile, the union selected 15 employees for rendering invaluable services to the government and society and presented them with appreciation awards.
Prizes were also distributed to the winners and runners up in the Sports & Games' 2023 held last month.
