HYDERABAD: People in the border areas of Telangana and Maharashtra attended the BRS meeting, which was addressed by Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao. BRS legislators mobilised people from their respective Assembly constituencies in Nizamabad, Kamareddy, Nirmal and Adilabad districts.

BRS Zaheerabad MP B.B. Patil and Jukkal MLA Hanmanth Shinde, who can speak Marathi fluently, took the lead in making arrangements for the Nanded meeting, while minister A.Indrakaran Reddy, Bodhan MLA Shakil and former minister Zaheerabad visited Nanded several times in the last 10 days.

Although the BRS was keen on a public meeting in Nanded, it was converted as a programme welcoming leaders from other parties into the BRS fold. Some former MLAs from the Marathwada region joined BRS in the presence of Rao.
