Nellore: BJP Mahila Morcha national in-charge Daggubati Purandheswari, speaking to newsmen at the party office in Ongole, expressed confidence that the BJP will become a powerful party in the state in the days to come while citing increase in the party membership from two lakh in the past and 25 lakh now.

Maintaining that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP national president Amit Shah have been paying special attention to develop Andhra Pradesh, Purandheswari said that people across the nation are attracted by the development and welfare programmes being introduced by the Prime Minister.

Referring to elaborate arrangements being made for the public meeting being addressed by Amit Shah at Rajahmundry on March 6, she said that the event will be utilised to highlight the huge fund flow from Centre to state and welfare schemes being implemented by the Centre.

Reacting to a question on land scam in capital region and role of ruling party leaders, the BJP Mahila Morcha leader opined that the TD leaders should take the truth into public to avoid any black spot and the opposition also should come out with facts instead of levelling lame charges.
