Higher education Minister pitches for H.D. Devegowda from Mysuru
Mr Devegowda said that there is no candidate other than Mr H.D. Deve Gowda more suited for Mysuru Kodagu constituency.
Mysuru: Higher education minister Mr G.T. Devegowda has said that JD(S) supremo Mr H.D. Devegowda will be the Congress-JD(S) candidate for Mysuru Kodagu Lok Sabha constituency constituency. But so far the final decision in this regard has not been taken, he said while speaking to media persons here on Tuesday.
Mr Devegowda said that there is no candidate other than Mr H.D. Deve Gowda more suited for Mysuru Kodagu constituency.
Meanwhile Mysuru-Kodagu BJP MP Mr Pratap Simha said, "I have taken up works which no other politician had taken up. I have entered politics to serve people, not to make commission. I don't even think about my daughter's future but only about people of the constituency. But a few think only about their children and grandchildren. No matter who is my rival contestant, people will vote for the developmental works I have taken up during my tenure," he said.
On Congress MLA Umesh Jadhav set to join BJP, he said, "It is not Operation Kamala, leaders from other parties are joining BJP because of the developmental works carried out by PM Narendra Modi."
