'If you have courage, file case against me': Digvijaya Singh dares Modi

On Tuesday Modi said, 'a leader from MP said that the Pulwama terror attack was an accident. This is their mentality.'

New Delhi: Senior Congress leader Digvijaya Singh on Wednesday challenged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to file a case against him for his tweet that cited Pulwama attack as an 'accident'.

“My tweet for which you and your ministers branded me as a Pakistani supporter and traitor were put out in Delhi where the police are under the central government. If you have the courage, please file a case against me,” the former Madhya Pradesh chief minister tweeted in Hindi.

On Tuesday Digvijaya Singh in a series of tweet referred Pulwama attack to an "accident."

In an attempt to target Modi government, Singh said that foreign media had raised doubts over IAF carried aerial-strike on Pak-based terror camps as the retaliatory action instigated after Pulwama 'accident'.

Singh said such questionings has challenged the credibility of the government.

On Tuesday while addressing a public gathering at Dhar, Madhya Pradesh Modi said, “The party that ruled our country for decades is now questioning the ability of our brave forces. Today, a leader from Madhya Pradesh said that the Pulwama terror attack was an accident. This is their mentality.”

Former Madhya Pradesh chief minister was also targeted by several ministers using various social media platforms for translating terror attack in which 40 CRPF soldiers were killed as an "accident".

Earlier, BJP leader Vijay Kumar Singh asked Singh, "With due respect, I would like to ask Digvijaya Singh Ji, was Rajiv Gandhi's assassination an accident or a terror incident?"
