BJP candidates resume Lotus' in every home campaign
In many districts, key leaders have worked out a campaign strategy and schedule.
Chennai: It appears it is business as usual for the BJP. Much of the intense poll activity witnessed at Kamalalayam is shifting to constituencies with candidates including state leaders who have been fielded are hectically touring their constituencies braving the scorching sun.
In the process, they have revived the 2014 Lok Sabha “Illam thorum thamarai, Ullam thorum Modi,” (Lotus in every household and Modi in every heart) campaign. The Lotus campaign, launched recently in the Chepauk-Triplicane Assembly constituency, highlighting the two year’s achievement of PM Narendra Modi to the people would be taken to the other parts, say sources.

Chakravarthy who has been nominated for the Tiruttani constituency commenced his campaign at Nemili. “I have been taking Mr Modi’s good schemes to the people. The Prime Minister is quite popular and many villagers are convinced that Mr. Modi is capable
of providing the right impetus to boost rural economy and improve the quality of their lives,” he said.
Another vice president Vanathi Srinivasan, who is hectically campaigning in Coimbatore South, and a lawyer herself, seems to have left no stones unturned. She campaigned among the advocate fraternity in Coimbatore seeking their support for her victory. Union minister of state for road transport, highways and shipping Pon Radhakrishnan in whose home district of Kanyakumari six candidates have been announced, is the star campaigner. Apart from the district he would also feverishly tour the state in support of his party candidates.
